The Sessions is based on the true event of Mark O'Brien, poet paralyzed from neck down due to to polio, who wants to lose his virginity, so he hired a sex surrogate.
The film directed and screenplay by Ben Lewin and presents by Fox Searchlight Pictures and producers Judi Levine and Stephen Nemeth .
John Hawkes play role as 38year old journalist and poet 'Mark O'Brien', who wants to lose her virginity, after consulting wiht his Father Brendan role play by William H. Macy, Helen Hunt play role as Cheryl Cohen Greene, a professional sex surrogate, who hired for lose virginity of Mark O'Brien.

The film won Audience Award Dramatic and a U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Prize Award for Dramatic acting- cast by Helen Hunt at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, screening on 23 January, 2012. The film scheduled to release in USA on 26 October, 2012; in Germany on 3 January, 2013; in Belgium on 9 January, 2013; and in Denmark on 7 March, 2013.
