About Movie
Riwayat is a 2010 Hindi family-drama film based on the real serious social issue of India of disturbing issue of female foeticide and infanticide, about 100 million baby girls are missing from this world since 1984 - 40 million from India and killed only for being girls, girls killing is simply due to blind faith in traditions that prefer baby boys to carry the family's name ahead.. The film directed by Vijay Patkar and produced and written by Dr. Sanjay Patole and Ajay Patolewith executive producer Ajay Patole and co-producer Ajay Rane.
Riwayat film nominations in 12 international film festivals and won 5 awards.
The songs written by Sudhakar Sharma and Nusrat Badr and all songs composed by Sushil Lalji with singers - Shaan, Kailash Kher, Shreya Ghoshal and Jagjit Singh.
The film scheduled to release in Indian theaters on 7 September, 2012.

About Music
The melodious music of Riwayat takes us back to the golden era of Indian film music. Sushil is making his debut as a music director in Hindi films with Riwayat. He is the talented son of the well-known rhythmic Lalji (of the famous duo Lalji-Saltar) who worked with legendary composers such at S.D. and R.D. Burman, Madan Mohan, Shankar Jaikishan, and Laxmikant Pyarelal. Lalji's music is obvious in songs of classics such as Aawara and Pakeezah. Sushil has composed for many jingles, regionla albums and films. His gift for melody assures that his compositions will be memorable for years to come. For Riwayat, Sushil is blessed by proficient lyricists Sudhakar Sharma, and Nusrat Badr, and talented singers Shreya Ghosal, Shaan, Kailash Kher, and the legendary Jagjit Singh.
