The Company You Keep film is political story based action-thriller film, which is based on the same title name novel of 2003 by Neil Gordon, and for screenplay the film script written by Lem Dobbs, and the film directed and produced by Robert Redford.

Robert Redford is an Actor, film director, film producer, businessman, environmentalist and philanthropist, he produced and directed this film and he also plays main lead role, a former member of the Weather Underground and widowed father posing as an upstanding Albany lawyer as Jim Grant/Nicholas Sloan, and other features are Shia LaBeouf plays a reporter as Ben Shepard, and Susan Sarandon (Sharon Solarz) and Julie Christie (Mimi) play former Weather Underground members, Terrence Howard, Anna Kendrick, Brendan Gleeson, Sam Elliott, Nick Nolte, Brit Marling, and Stanley Tucci.

The film is scheduled to premiere at the 69th Venice International Film Festival 2012 in Itly on 6th September, 2012, and at the Toronto International Film Festival 2012 in Canada on 9th September, 2012. And the film scheduled for released in theaters on 15 November 2012 (Italy), and the next year in 2013 the film set to be released in theaters on 15 February 2013 (Sweden), 22 March 2013 (Norway) and 28 March 2013 (Denmark).

Synopsis
Jim Grant (Redford), a civil rights lawyer and single father must go on the run when a brash young reporter (LaBeouf), exposes his true identity as a former 1970s radical fugitive wanted for murder.  Sparking a nationwide manhunt, Grant sets off on a cross-country journey to clear his name.
