On the Road is based on the generation defining novel of the same name 'On the Road (1957)' by Jack Kerouac. The film title is also know as 'Sur la route' in french. On the Road film is a Adventure based drama film which is directed by Brazilian filmmaker & producer of international prominence Walter Salles(The Motorcycle Diaries) and screenplay by Jose Rivera, the film produced by four great producers : Francis Ford Coppola, Rebecca Yeldham, Nathanael Karmitz or Charles Gilliberts. After the hardwork of director and film team the film has been selected at the Cannes Film Festival 2012.

The starring cast includes in this film with Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, Snow White and the Huntsman) and Sam Riley. Story of this film is "After the death of his father, Sal Paradise, an aspiring New York writer, meets Dean Moriarty, a wild and infectiously charismatic ex-con. They hit it off immediately. Determined to avoid the pitfalls of a narrow, prescribed life, Sal hits the road, joining Dean on what evolves into a life-changing physical and emotional odyssey. Thirsting for freedom, they discover the world, the ecstasy of experience, the connectedness of humanity and ultimately themselves." The film scheduled to released in cinemas on 23 May, 2012 in Cannes, and in theaters on 12 October, 2012.
