Chakravyuh film starring Arjun Rampal, Abhay Deol, Manoj Bajpayee, Esha Gupta, Anjali Patil and Om Puri. Actor Om Puri play a character inspired by Maoist leader, Kobad Ghandy. The film based on the politicas and aimed to be asocial commentary on the issues of Naxalites and a story about two best friends Kabir (Abhay Deol) and Adil Khan(Arjun Rampal), a crime-thriller film, directed, screenplay and produced by the National Award Winner 'Prakash Jha' and Prakash Jha Productions with writer Anjum Rajabali and co-producer Sunil Lulla.
Prakash Jha mostly known for his political and social-political films like Mrityudand (1997), Gangaajal (2003), Apaharan (2005) and Raajneeti (2010), and now come back with new politics Democracy based drama and thriller film 'Chakravyuh'.
The film scheduled to be released in Indian theaters on 24 October, 2012.
Chakravyuh film shot in IES College and MLB college, Bopal and Panchmarhi and Bhopal, and film has been invited for the gala premiere at 56th BFI London Film Festival, and the film featuring a item song choreographed by Ganesh Acharya "Tambai Rang Tera" by new comer actress Anjali Patil.
