Beautiful Creatures is based on the New York Times best-selling fantasy young adult and romance first novel of same title name series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, which was published on 1st Dec. 2012.

In 2009 Alcon Entertainment was purchased the rights to Beautiful Creatures and signing for write and direct this movie by Richard LaGravenese.

Richard LaGravenese written script for screenplay and direct this romantic - fantasy movie, Molly Smith and Erwin Stoff are produced and presents by Warner Bros. Entertainment and Alcon Entertainment.

The film starring with Alice Englert, Alden Ehrenreich, Emmy Rossum, Emma Thompson (Men in Black 3 plays Agent O, Brave), Jeremy Irons (The Words), Thomas Mann and Viola Davis. It's second film to feature both Viola Davis and Thomas Mann after It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010).

The film set to be released in theaters in second month of next year on 13th Feb, 2013.
